Continuing their association with West London Audi, Mary Penley Fine Artists staged a second exhibition in the ‘gallery showroom’ in September. Exhibiting artists included pastels by internationally renowned artist Mark Leach PS, Pauline Clough PS and Jason Bowyer RP,PS. Exciting and powerful new work in oils by emerging artist Mick Dean complimented studio glass by Aline Johnson, textiles by Amy Pottage and ceramics by Yuriko Hill

In the foreground - Vibrant colours and elegant designs, including the intricate use of wire mesh, are the hallmark of textile designer Amy Pottage shown in her range of handbags and accessories for evening and day wear.

Hand made studio glassware by Aline Johnson who takes her inspiration from images of the seaside – stripey beach huts, canvas windbreaks, boiled sweets, marbles; to produce a selection of stunning pieces.

All creative ideas begin life as lines on paper.This exhibition sets out to celebrate the transition from concept to the final created work.Whether the medium be automotive design,electronic product design,painting,ceramics,glass,sculpture or jewellery; each maker strives for perfection,for the next level of excellence.The refinement of ideas juxtoposed with the desire to push boundaries,embrace new technologies and create new possibilities based on a deep understanding of their craft unites all elements in this exhibition.
